James L. Monroe - Chairman
James L. Monroe founded Monroe & Company, LLC, a merchant banking firm, in 1997. Mr. Monroe has 25 years of financial transaction experience and has closed numerous corporate transactions, including private and public equity; bank debt; and merger and acquisition related transactions. Mr. Monroe has founded and invested in many companies either through control or minority positions. Based on transactional and operational requirements, Mr. Monroe has filled many roles in post-transaction entities such as Chairman, CEO, Board member, investor and advisor. Prior to founding Monroe & Company, he was an investment banker with twelve years of generalist experience on Wall Street. Mr. Monroe completed numerous corporate financings in the middle-market, including IPO’s and follow-on equity offerings; private and public debt offerings; equity private placements; and advisory assignments representing buyers and sellers, including rendering fairness opinions. Mr. Monroe was in charge of the Boston corporate finance office of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., a major-bracket investment bank. Previously, Mr. Monroe was a Managing Director of Advest, Inc. (NYSE); and Ladenburg, Thalmann & Co. Inc. (NYSE). He began his investment banking career in the New York office of L. F. Rothschild & Co. Inc. (NYSE), a major-bracket investment bank. Mr. Monroe was a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst & Young. He received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a BS in Accounting from Bentley University.

Sandra F. Monroe - President
Sandra F. Monroe is President of Monroe & Company, LLC. Ms. Monroe is in charge of Monroe & Company’s real estate activities, including managing its affiliated real estate related operating companies. Early in Ms. Monroe’s career, she gained significant Fortune 50 corporate, managerial experience. Over the past 20 years, Ms. Monroe has had a successful entrepreneurial career. Ms. Monroe is President of Monroe Auction Group, an auction firm founded in 1989. Monroe Auction Group is one of the largest auction firms in New England focusing on the sale of residential and commercial real estate; and liquidations of personal property on behalf of numerous financial institutions. Previously, Ms. Monroe was employed as a Financial Marketing Manager for Pfizer’s Consumer Products Division; a Strategic Planning Analyst at GE’s RCA Corp; and a graduate of Honeywell’s two year Financial Development Program. Ms. Monroe received an MBA from New York University – Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a BS in Marketing Management from Bentley University.
